Please avoid Ibuprofen, Aleve, Aspirin, Vitamin E, fish oil, and other anti-inflammatory medications or supplements for 7 days prior to treatment to reduce the risk of bruising after treatment. Avoid using active skincare 7 days prior to treatment (Retinols, glycolic acid, anti-aging products). No waxing, tweezing, bleeding or hair removal creams to the treatment area at least 7 days prior to treatment. Avoid alcohol at least 24 hours prior to injection to reduce the risk of bruising. Please avoid dental cleanings/work and any vaccines two weeks prior to treatment. You are not a candidate for treatment if you are pregnant or nursing.

Keep the injection site clean – no makeup for at least 24 hours.

Tylenol and ice as needed for pain relief and swelling. Avoid Ibuprofen. You can continue taking Arnica until bruising subsides. Avoid alcohol at least 24 hours post injection to reduce the risk of bruising. Please avoid dental cleanings/work and any vaccines two weeks post treatment. Avoid tanning or prolonged sun exposure until swelling has improved. No waxing, tweezing, bleeding or hair removal creams to the treatment area at least 7 days post treatment. Some swelling, redness and bruising is normal – please contact our office if symptoms are worsening or persist past 2 weeks. If you develop signs of infection including: increasing swelling, pain, heat or redness to the treatment area please contact our office.

Most patients will experience some swelling, bruising or numbness where Kybella was injected. This can last up to one month, but typically resolved within 1-2 weeks. Do not plan a Kybella treatment prior to important events.
