Women’s Health & Hormone Therapy

Hormonal imbalances occur when the body has an excess or deficiency of certain hormones. These vital chemicals regulate numerous functions in the body, such as mood, body temperature, metabolism, and reproductive cycles.

In women, hormonal imbalances often start to emerge in their late 30s and early 40s, leading to a variety of symptoms. However, it’s important to understand that these imbalances can also have long-term health implications. They can contribute to the development of chronic medical conditions, including high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, heart disease, osteopenia/osteoporosis, dementia/Alzheimer’s Disease, thyroid disease, autoimmune diseases, heart attacks, strokes, blood clots, obesity, and more. Understanding and addressing hormonal imbalances is crucial for maintaining overall health and well-being.

At Infinity, we’re here to help you become the best version of yourself, and answer any questions you have along the way!

HORMONAL TREATMENT STEPS

Step 1 — Consultation with Our Provider, Dr. Jennifer Redmond

During this initial appointment, we will delve into your personal and family health history, assess current and past symptoms, conduct a physical examination, and arrange tailored blood tests to address your specific needs.

Step 2 — Follow-Up Appointment

Scheduled one week after your initial consultation, we will comprehensively review the results of your blood work and explore how these findings correlate with your symptoms. Following this analysis, we will develop a customized plan encompassing vitamin/supplement optimization, prescribed hormonal and non-hormonal medications, and lifestyle adjustments tailored to restore optimal hormonal balance and function.

Step 3 — Subsequent Follow-Up Appointments

Every six weeks, for a total of three follow-up appointments (or more as needed), we will assess progress regarding symptom improvement, perform laboratory monitoring, and make any necessary adjustments to medications and lifestyle modifications. At each appointment, we will prioritize and address individual goals based on your specific questions and concerns. While most women achieve optimal hormone balance, some may require additional appointments based on specific treatments.

Step 4 — Yearly Follow-Up

Once hormonal stabilization is achieved, yearly follow-up appointments are necessary to reassess and make any adjustments as needed. Should new or worsening symptoms arise at any point, an appointment prior to the yearly follow-up will be warranted.
